Privacy Policy

Effective Date: July 20, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Hunter Hammond, operating as Hammernode (“I,” “me,” or “my”), collects, uses, and protects information obtained through hammernode.web.app (the “Site”). By using the Site you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information I Collect

Information you provide directly:

  • Name — entered in the contact form.
  • Email address — entered in the contact form.
  • Project details — optional description of your technical situation or questions entered in the contact form.

Information collected automatically:

When you visit the Site, a random anonymous session identifier is created and stored in your browser’s sessionStorage. The following engagement signals are associated with that session and stored in Google Firebase (Firestore):

  • Maximum scroll depth reached on the page (as a percentage)
  • Whether and how many times you clicked a primary call-to-action button
  • Whether and when you viewed or interacted with the contact form
  • Whether you successfully submitted the contact form
  • Landing page URL and HTTP referrer URL
  • Attribution parameters appended to the URL at the time of your visit: UTM source, medium, campaign, term, and content; and Google click identifier (gclid)
  • Timestamps for session start and last activity

This data does not include your IP address, browser fingerprint, or any directly identifying information unless you also submit the contact form.

Information collected via third-party analytics services:

  • Google Analytics (G-J8MN35MMES) — collects anonymized usage data including pages visited, time on site, browser type, device type, and approximate geographic region. Google may also collect your IP address. See Google’s Privacy Policy.
  • Google Ads Conversion Tracking (AW-18323212416) — records whether an approved lead occurred after a click on a Google ad, for advertising effectiveness measurement only.
  • Microsoft Advertising (Bing Universal Event Tracking, tag ID 97256439) — records page visits and conversions for advertising effectiveness measurement. See Microsoft’s Privacy Statement.

2. How I Use Your Information

  • To respond to your inquiry — your name, email address, and project details are used solely to follow up on your submitted consultation request.
  • To improve the Site — aggregated session engagement data (scroll depth, form interactions) is used to understand how visitors engage with content and to improve the site experience.
  • To measure advertising effectiveness — conversion events are reported to Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising to evaluate which ad campaigns generate relevant approved inquiries.

I do not use your information to send marketing emails, newsletters, or any unsolicited commercial messages. Follow-up communication is limited to direct responses to your submitted inquiry.

3. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

The Site uses cookies and similar technologies set by Google Analytics, Google Ads, and Microsoft Advertising to measure site usage and ad performance. These cookies may persist beyond a single browsing session.

You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking at any time by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. You can manage Microsoft Advertising cookies via the Microsoft opt-out page. Most browsers also allow you to block or delete cookies through browser settings.

4. Data Storage and Retention

Contact form submissions (name, email, project details) are stored in Google Firebase Firestore and retained for up to two (2) years from the date of submission, or until deleted at my discretion. Session engagement data is retained for up to one (1) year. Data stored in Firebase is subject to Google’s data handling practices.

To request deletion of your personal data, contact me at the email address listed in Section 7.

5. No Sale of Personal Information

I do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to third parties for their marketing or commercial purposes. Information is shared only with the sub-processors listed in this policy (Google, Microsoft) for the limited purposes described above.

6. Your Privacy Rights

California Residents (CCPA / CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to: (1) know what personal information has been collected about you; (2) request deletion of your personal information; (3) opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information (I do not sell or share personal information); and (4) non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights. To submit a verifiable request, email me at the address in Section 7.

Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, and Other State Residents

Residents of states with comprehensive privacy laws may have similar rights to access, correct, or delete personal data I hold about them. To exercise these rights, contact me at the address below.

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal information you have submitted to the Site at any time by contacting me directly.

7. Children’s Privacy

8. Third-Party Links

The Site may contain links to third-party websites. I am not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing any personal information.
